For the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic, lessons will be conducted in any combination of three ways at the teacher's discretion:

1. Outdoors at a distance of 6 feet or more from each other when possible.
2. Indoors at a distance of 6 feet or more from each other when possible.
3. Online.

Students/parents and teacher are asked to not attend in person if:
1.They or household members are currently experiencing or developed ANY new symptoms of a cold, flu or COVID-19 in the last 5 days that lasted more than 24 hours, or tested positive for COVID 19. Students may attend online lessons if they feel well enough. Students may return to in person lessons when at least 5 days have passed since their or household members' symptoms started, or from test date if they did not have symptoms, and they feel better and have no more symptoms. They are asked to wear a mask for the following 5 days (until 10 days have passed since onset of symptoms or positive test).
Symptoms of COVID-19 include:
  • Fever or chills 
  • Cough
  • Sore Throat
  • Tiredness
  • Sneezing
  • Runny nose
  • Headache
  • Loss of sense of smell or taste
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Loss of appetite
  • Body aches
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

3. They have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with or has symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 10 days. Those working in the health care field who have worn full personal protective equipment are exempt from this item. 
4. They are under the direction of the provincial health officer to self-isolate. 

Students will wait outside for notification that the room is ready for him/her to enter to allow time for cleaning and maintain physical distance between students coming and going.

Hand sanitizer will be available and hand washing encouraged.

The washroom will be stocked with guest towels washed between each use and will only be available to students and parents during lesson hours.

Students will be limited to the entryway, the south side of the living room, and the washroom of the teacher's home.

Frequently touched hard surfaces will be wiped down regularly.
